# Using Ruby Insights

> Get daily briefs, revenue forecasts, payment reminders, treatment follow-ups, and at-risk patient alerts with Ruby.

Ruby is OdontoX's AI assistant. It surfaces the operational and financial items that need your attention each day, and it helps doctors write and review clinical notes.

**Plan requirement:** Ruby Insights is available on the **Pro+** plan and above.

## The Ruby Insights page

Open **Ruby Insights** from the sidebar. The page is organised as one continuous flow with three sections:

### Plan ahead

* **Daily brief** — today's lab cases, inventory alerts, appointment status breakdown, revenue snapshot, and patient-flow context.
* **Revenue forecast** — a 30-day projection with confidence level, trend, drivers, and risks.

### Collect

* **Overdue invoices** — invoices that are past due.
* **Installment plans** — payment plans with upcoming or missed payments.
* **Payment reminders** — drafted reminders you can send by email or WhatsApp.

### Recover

* **Pending treatment plans** — plans that have not been accepted or started.
* **At-risk patients** — patients who have not visited in a while, scored and ready for outreach.

## Caching

Ruby Insights are cached per clinic and shared across all admins. The first person to open the page each day generates them; everyone else sees the same result instantly.

Each block shows a **"Cached · X ago"** badge with a **Refresh** button.

The cache refreshes automatically at the end of the working day (Pakistan time) or after 24 hours, whichever comes first.

  The **Patient Brief** is the exception. It caches briefly in your own browser (around 15 minutes) rather than being shared across the clinic, because it is tied to the specific patient you are about to see.

## Ruby generation limit

Every clinic gets **15 Ruby generations per day**, shared across all Ruby features.

Routine page loads no longer count toward the limit. Only an explicit **Refresh** or **Generate** uses a generation.

## Other Ruby features

Outside the insights page, Ruby also provides:

* **Patient Brief** — a summary card on patient and appointment pages.
* **SOAP review** — restructure free-text notes into SOAP format inside the clinical note editor.
* **Note editing tools** — rewrite, grammar check, shorten, or expand clinical notes.
