# Subscriptions, Trials, and License Limits

> Understand OdontoX plans, trial behavior, license limits, and how to upgrade or request more staff seats.

Your OdontoX subscription controls which features are available, how many staff members you can add, and how many patients can use the patient portal.

## Subscription plans

Plans are applied per clinic. They set limits for:

* staff members (doctors, receptionists, admins)
* patient portal seats
* storage space
* available modules and features

To see your current plan or upgrade, go to **Settings → Subscription** in OdontoX.

## Who can manage subscriptions

Only **admins** can view plans, request upgrades, or ask for extra staff seats.

Plan changes are reviewed and applied by the OdontoX team.

## Trial behavior

New clinics start on a free trial. During the trial you can use most features. When the trial ends:

* **Admins** can still log in and start a paid subscription.
* **Doctors, receptionists, and patients** are blocked until the subscription is active.

## License limits

Limits are enforced per clinic. The main limits are:

| Limit        | What it means                                                |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Staff seats  | Number of doctors, receptionists, and admins you can invite. |
| Portal seats | Number of patients who can log into the patient portal.      |
| Storage      | Space for files, images, and documents.                      |

If you reach a limit, you can request more seats or storage. Requests are reviewed by the OdontoX team.

## What happens if my trial expires?

Your data is not deleted. Admin users can still access the subscription page to upgrade. Once the subscription is active, all users can log in again.
