# Todos Planner — A Walkthrough

> Capture tasks with voice dictation, hand them to a colleague, and see everything due this week beside your appointment calendar in one two-pane planner.

The Todos planner is where your team keeps track of everything that is not an appointment — call-backs, lab follow-ups, paperwork, personal reminders. Capture a task in seconds, hand it to a colleague, and watch it appear right beside your week's calendar. This guide is the daily reference for doctors and front-desk staff alike.

## What's new

* **A two-pane planner.** The left pane groups your to-dos into time buckets — **Overdue**, **This week**, **This month**, **Later** and **No due date** — each with a live count. Pinned items rise to the top of their bucket, and every bucket has its own quick **+ Todo** box so you can jot something down without leaving the screen.
* **Your week's calendar on the right.** The right pane shows your appointment week. Any to-do due this week shows up as a chip on its day, so deadlines and chair time sit side by side.
* **Voice dictation in English and Urdu.** When you write a description, tap the microphone and dictate in either language — handy for capturing a quick note between patients.
* **Hand a task to a colleague.** Clinic admins can use the assignee picker to give a to-do to another doctor. The task then lands in that person's **Assigned to me** tab.
* **Free-form tags.** Tag a to-do however your team likes — `lab`, `recall`, `insurance` — and use them to search and group later.
* **Tabs with live counts.** Switch between **Open**, **Assigned to me**, **Overdue**, **Done** and **All**, each showing how many items it holds right now.
* **Search across everything.** One search box looks through titles, descriptions and tags at once.

## How to use it

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Todos planner">The left pane is your task list grouped into time buckets; the right pane is your appointment week.</Step>
  <Step title="Create a to-do">Use the **+ Todo** box in any bucket, or open the full dialog. Give it a title and a due date, set the status (**Open**, **Done** or **Archived**), and add a description.</Step>
  <Step title="Dictate the description">Tap the microphone and speak in English or Urdu — the words drop straight into the description.</Step>
  <Step title="Assign and tag">If you are a clinic admin, pick an assignee to hand the task to another doctor. Add any free-form tags you want to find it by later.</Step>
  <Step title="Find anything fast">Use the tabs (Open / Assigned to me / Overdue / Done / All) to narrow the list, or the search box to match titles, descriptions and tags.</Step>
  <Step title="Complete or edit">Tick a to-do to mark it done. Click it to open the edit dialog and change anything.</Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Doctors see their own appointments on the calendar and their own tasks. Clinic admins see the whole clinic's to-dos and the full clinic schedule.
</Note>

* Voice dictation works in English and Urdu.
* Admins can assign a to-do to another doctor.
* Free-form tags, plus search across titles, descriptions and tags.
