A first-day tour of where things live — Settings in eight labelled groups, the trial countdown on the top bar, and the Marketplace as a way to add only the modules you need. We refreshed this page after the Settings regroup and the Marketplace launch landed so the day-one tour matches what you actually see when you sign in.

What’s new

  • Settings has eight sections, not one long wall. Clinic & branding, People & access, Clinical setup, Scheduling, Documents & finance, Communication, Integrations & devices, and Account / security / audit. Empty sections fold themselves away.
  • A trial countdown banner from day one. Every signed-in user at a trial clinic sees the days left at the top of the app. See /guides/trial-and-billing for the full story.
  • Marketplace in the sidebar. Click Marketplace to see your installed apps and explore add-ons at market.odontox.io. The eight initial apps are DICOM Imaging, WhatsApp API, In-Patient, Insurance, Marketing & Recalls, Medical Record Numbers, Storage packs and Portal Seat packs.
  • A welcome toast when your plan activates. “Your plan is now active — Welcome to [Plan]!” fires once and links to your billing tab.
  • Eight initial apps in the Marketplace. See /admin/marketplace for the full breakdown.

How to use it on your first day

Sign in at id.odontox.io

The app lands you on the dashboard. The trial countdown banner is visible at the top.

Open Settings

Scroll through the eight sections to get a sense of where things live. Click the cards relevant to your clinic.

Fill in Clinic & branding first

Your clinic name, logo, address and phone show up on every invoice, receipt and prescription you issue.

Set up your staff

Open Settings → Staff Management → Invite staff for every doctor and receptionist. Plan-based defaults arrive on their first sign-in.

Configure Notifications

The matrix at Settings → Notifications lets you decide event-by-event who hears about each operational email. See /guides/notifications-matrix for a walkthrough.

Decide your appointment defaults

Settings → Appointment Setup carries time format, default duration, click-to-book, drag-snap and hover preview.

Add your first patient

Open Patients → Add patient. Decide whether to tick Provide portal access — only ticked patients consume a portal seat.

Explore the Marketplace

Click Marketplace in the sidebar to see the eight initial apps. Add only what your clinic needs.
